2023 Kickoff Classic

After an abrupt end to last year’s season, with the Patriots losing by a point to Buchholz in the first round of playoffs, the Pace Patriots enter this year with their eyes on vengeance.  Their 2023 story began last Friday night when they hosted Pensacola Catholic in their Kickoff Classic.  Pace's defense came out strong with an Interception by Carson Lowe. Struggling to find momentum, the offense punted on its first drive, and on the second drive, had a touchdown called back due to a holding, which led to a field goal that ended up no good.  With another interception by Xakery Wiedner, the defense stayed strong.  Then things began to turn around in the final quarter of the varsity half with a screen pass to Logan Hancharik, who ran the ball 40 yards to set the Patriots up for a touchdown opportunity.  “I knew there was someone behind me and I felt slow, but I knew I just needed a few more yards. Senior Sunrise

Image
Bright and early on August 14th the class of 2024 came together to watch the sunrise. Every year at Pace High School this tradition is held for the senior class. Seniors can wear their crowns and be amongst their friends as they enjoy the view. Ally McCammon, 12 felt bittersweet as senior year sets in, "I felt a bunch of emotions. Mainly excited to be able to spend such a special time with my favorite people and at a school I love." It was a great morning for friends to sit down, relax, and enjoy such a special moment with each other. We hope you have a great senior year class of 2024!

Participants rotate around to different locations on campus like the gym, chorus room, cheer room, media center, and take a tour to see the rest of the key locations on the Pace High campus. tthe end of the day all students gathered in the gym to hear from Dr. Julia Garcia and to see what a pep rally is like. Other Freshman like Kylie Pippin,9 had a different day than most. She worked with SGA to help her fellow classmates have a great day. “I was worried when I learned I would not be able to participate in my freshman day because I was able to see the whole process and gain more knowledge. During the day I welcomed people into th
