Pace High Indoor Percussion Finalists!

Pace High School Indoor Percussion traveled to Dayton, OH last week for the  2024 WGI World Championships - PSO Finals They placed 7 th  in the Nation in Percussion Scholastic Open Class.  https://wgi.org/scores/# This group performed 3 times (Thur-Fri-Sat) for Pre-Lims, Semi-Finals and Finals.  Prelims- Pace was in round 3 of 4 rounds and placed 2 nd  place  (44 groups competing) Semi-Finals- Pace in round 2 of 2, tied for 4 th  place  (24 groups competing) Finals- Pace placed 7 th  out of 15 finalists This amazing group of percussionists paid their own way through fundraising and parent contributions, practiced multiple evenings per week and held many Saturday Camps 8am-9pm and performed locally and regionally throughout the season, undefeated, to be invited to WGI World in Dayton.  Pace Indoor Percussion were the "underdogs" going into this steep competition and showed the country that Pace, FL has what it takes to be recognized for their talent, integrity, heart, sportsma

Pace High Flag Football

The Lady Patriot Flag Football team has had another amazing season! They currently have a record of 12-5, with their most recent game being against Navarre for the District Championship, which they achieved. Tonight, they are facing Niceville for the Regional Quarter Finals. Great job ladies and good luck tonight!

Marine Science 2 Field Trip

       On March 15 th , 2024, marine science 2 went on a field trip to the University of West Florida swim center. The event was hosted by SeaPerch, a program that gives students the chance to create remotely operated vehicles for underwater purposes. The goal of this program is to connect students with skills they can connect to the real world, while providing ideas that may be of significant use. With engineering skills and the freedom of design, the marine classes participated in a hands-on project to showcase their creations. Within a few weeks of building all ROVs from scratch, the students had their masterpieces made. They used materials such as PVC pipes that were individually wired, pool floaters that aided in buoyancy, and motors equipped to steer and move. With their vehicles finished, they were prepared and set for the competition. During the event, students from Navarre and even private schools arrived to compete. Florida Thespians Festival

Every year, the Florida Senior Thespians Festival showcases theatrical talent from around the state and provides a space for them to compete, watch performances, and learn about different aspects of the performing arts. Pace High’s Troupe 3965 attended between March 13 th and 16 th , and brought with them a pantomime, two duets, and a makeup design piece to compete. One of their duets, featuring Madison Schultz, 12, and Caitlin Ferguson, 10, was awarded a superior rating. “It was such a wonderful experience, especially being a senior. It really just reminded me why I love performing so much,” said Schultz. Their pantomime was also awarded superior. Said one of the pantomime performers, Wilbur Billings, 12, “We were so happy. Our work for that piece really paid off, and it was so much fun to perform.” Theatre president Brayden Tressler was the D6 Representative, meaning that he went to state board meetings and helped put on the festival. “It was such an amazing experience, especially f

43rd Frank Lay Patriot Invitational

On Friday, April 5, the 43rd Frank Lay Patriot Invitational was held at the Pace High Stadium. Thirteen teams competing in the high school meet caused fierce competition across all events. Pace athletes came in first in four events, second in three, and third in one. Peyton Kanis placed first in Girls Pole Vault with 12’ 5.5”, which is a new school record. Kanis beat her PR of 11’ 9.75”, which she had achieved at the Florida Relays.  Rylee Henderson won first place in Girls' Discus Throw by throwing 131’ 9” to achieve a personal record for the season. Henderson also placed second in Girls' Shot Put by throwing 11.51 meters.  Brayden Gates placed 1st in Boys Javelin with a throw of 165’ 6”. Gates also placed second in discus with a throw of 136’ 10”.  Jiavers Yacinthe placed first in the 110m Hurdles with a time of 15.45 seconds.  Markiece Kramer placed second in the 400m run with a time of 53.61 seconds, and Keegan Dickerson placed third in the discus with a throw of 134’ 1”.
