29th Annual Baseball Tournament: Pace Championship!
In the heart of spring, the 29th annual Aggie Classic unfolded with fervor and excitement, showcasing the talents of young athletes across the region. Amidst the fierce competition, Pace High School stood out staying undefeated from many schools. From the opening pitches to the final innings, the Pace Team exhibited excellent skill and teamwork bringing them to the championship game against the Tate Aggies being held at Tate High School on March 21st. Tucker Ricks, a Pace Varsity player, explains being able to play this season after winning championships the year before. “We won the championship game last year which was the first year I was on Varsity so it’s exciting to do this again with my teammates,” said Ricks. Hours and dedication were put into practice according to Ty Aguilar. “We practiced all off season, and extra at our practices to get where we are. This is very important to the team, and hopefully we can win like we did last year and because this is our rival team,” said Aguilar. As the tournament ends in a Pace v. Tate rematch, Pace comes out victorious with a 14-4 win over their long-time rivals.
