Pace quarterback Ben Tyner summarized the Patriots' win over the Pine Forest Eagles: "It was not pretty, but we got the job done." The Patriots beat the Eagles 29-6 to move to 7-1 on the season.

Pine Forest received the ball to start the first half of the Thursday night matchup, but a disruptive Patriots defense caused the Eagles to punt on their first drive. Dominate runs by Tyner and Makael Williams put the Patriots in a good field position, topped off with a pass to Joeseph Skipworth, which set up the Patriots to score.

APatriots fumbles led to their first turnover of the night. Pine Forest, able to gain momentum from the fumble recovery, was forced to punt. The punt was blocked by Tylon Lee, giving the Patriots the ball back deep in Eagle territory. A quick run by Tyner put the Patriots up 7-0 late in thefirstt quarter.

Pine Forest's offense, still unable to pick up steam against the Patriot's defense, was forced to punt on four and two at midfield. A run by Tyner gave the Patriots a first down, which opened the door to a long pass to Brooks Washington. A 2nd down false start caused the Patriots to look for a pass, which ended in an incompletion on first down. Pine Forrest intercepted the pass into the endzone on 4th down. The Patriots defense held the Eagles back and caused them to punt. Runs by Williams and Tyner gave the Patriots two first downs, then a four-and-long pass from Tyner to Williams put the Patriots in the endzone, but the touchdown was called back. A reverse to Washington put Pace up 14-0 heading into the half.

The Patriots received the ball, but a failed 4th down conversion gave Pine Forest the ball on the Patriot's 35. Pressure on the Pine Forrest quarterback and a holding call set up the Eagles for a 4th and long, leading to a Punt. The Patriot's offensive drive was short-lived after an interception, giving the Eagles a look to score. Penalties backed up the Eagles, and a failed 4th down conversion turned the ball back over to the Patriots halfway through the third quarter. Runs by Williams led the Patriot's offense on a campaign down the field. With a 40+ yard run, Tyner ended in a Patriot touchdown, putting them up 21-0.

An offensive pass interference call put the Eagles on their 3-yard line late in the third quarter. A rush by Keegan Dickerson ended with a safety for the Patriots, putting them up 23-0.

A pair of runs by Tyner landed the Patriots on the 1-yard line. A punch in my Williams put the Patriots up 29-0. The Pine Forrest offense found the endzone to trail 29-6 late in the 4th. Joey Golinio was able to wrap a bow on the Patriots matchup between the Pine Forest Eagles and end the game at 29-6.

The Patriots travel to the county's south end to take on Navarre in a District 1-6A matchup. A Patriots win over the Raiders would be their first since 2011 and crown them District Champions, punching their ticket to the playoffs.
