Inside The WWII History Museum

 On April 24th, Pace High's AP and Honors Government and History classes visited the famous WWII Museum in New Orleans, Louisiana. The students and teachers left Pace at 7:45 and finally arrived at the museum after a 3-hour trip. They spent 3 hours at the museum before leaving at 3:30 and arriving back at the school around 8. During their time at the museum, the students were able to experience 3 events put on by the museum.      After the students arrived, they were served lunch and saw a 45-minute show, where 3 actors played real-life sisters from that time period and sang songs that were made during the war. After the show, the students were released to tour. Brooklyn Muncy, 12, had this to say, “It was a fun trip. We were left to tour individually and were able to see both sides of the museum. Pace High School Weightlifting Teams

       The Pace Patriots Men’s Weightlifting Team gave an impressive showing of strength and mental toughness at the most recent s tate m eet in Lakeland. They brought a total of 1 2 lifters. Four came away with at least one medal. Senior, Jayson Alford, won the state title in both the Olympic and traditional 199-pound weight classes .  He was able to lift 580 pounds total in Olympic, then 665 overall in traditional .        “ For four years, that had been my ultimate goal – to win state one day,” Alford said . "I was so focused on winning since I have been so close in the past. It's really all I c ould think about and unbelievable that it actually happened . ”        On the other spectrum, the Lady Patriots have come full circle from last year's runner-up finish to this year's title as state champions. Pace High School NJROTC: Marching into Victory

          After a long year of preparing for one of the biggest competitions for NJROTC groups all over the nation. Pace High School showed the nation our patriot pride for the third time in a row. On April 1,2023, the last day of nationals, Pace High School was anxiously waiting to find out who would take home the national title. Against 24 of the best programs across the nation Pace would place first overall. When their win was announced Jasmine Jernigan, 12, said, “we felt proud and accomplished when our schools name was announced, it was a true testament to how our hard work and determination paid off in the long run.”      Another cadet James Waller, 12, explained further just how hard they worked to achieve this by saying, “we train all year round, we all are constantly meeting with our teams whether it is academics or drill. Spotlight on Pace High School's Cologuard

       It was April 1st, 2023, the color guard circuit championships were in full swing at Tate High School. Pace High School, led by Rebecca Belveal, took home both 1st place championships for junior varsity and varsity. This competition was a one-day event where junior varsity competed for the title and varsity for a chance to go the world championships. Over 120 color guards from across the world will be competing in this competition April 13-15th in Dayton, Ohio. Despite the long length of the circuit championships the spotlight shone the brightest on the Pace high color guard.      This was the competition that marked the end of junior varsities season of the 2022- 2023 school year. Over the day-long competition, Pace’s JV guard scored 89.69 points overall, taking first place for the Scholastic Regional A competition.
